Cool 2 Freeze — Refrigerated & Freezer Trailer Hire
About these terms
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the hire of refrigerated and freezer trailers and related equipment from Cool 2 Freeze.
In these Terms:
- “the Owner”, “we”, “us” means Cool2Freeze, trading as Cool 2 Freeze.
- “the Hirer”, “you” means the person or business hiring the Equipment.
- “the Equipment” means the trailer(s) and any accessories supplied for the hire.
- “the Hire Period” means the dates agreed in your booking, from delivery (or collection) until return (or our collection).
- “the Goods” means anything you store in the Equipment.
By confirming a booking you agree to these Terms. If you are booking on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to do so and that business is also bound by these Terms.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1 A booking is confirmed once a refundable security deposit of £200 has been received.
1.2 Full payment must be made 48hrs before delivery date or hire will be cancelled.
1.3 Any damage occurred during the hire period will be charged accordingly.
2. Hire Period
2.1 The hire period begins at the agreed delivery/collection time and ends at the agreed return time.
2.2 Late returns will be charged £100 per hour unless agreed in advance.
2.3 Extensions are subject to availability and must be agreed beforehand.
3. Delivery and Collection
3.1 Delivery and collection are available within a 10 mile radius, after this a charge of £2 per mile.
3.2 The hirer must ensure clear safe and level access for delivery and positioning.
3.3 Cool 2 Freeze is not responsible for delays to restricted access or unsafe conditions and holds the right to cancel hire therefore losing your deposit.
3.4 An additional charge will occur if trailer needs moving after it has been parked and locked.
4. Use Of Equipment
4.1 Equipment must only be used for legal food and drink storage purposes.
4.2 The hirer must not overload or misuse the trailer.
4.3 No modifications or tampering with the unit are permitted.
4.4 The hirer will need to provide steps for entry into trailer if needed.
4.5 When hiring freezer trailer strictly no produce to be placed in the trailer above -5 degrees.
5. Responsibility and Care
5.1 The hirer is responsible for the equipment during the entire hire period.
5.2 The trailer must be returned in a clean and hygienic condition.
5.3 A cleaning fee of £40 will apply if the unit is returned in an unsatisfactory condition.
5.4 Any damage, must be reported immediately and will be chargeable.
5.5 Keys for rear doors, any damage or loss will be chargeable.
6. Temperature and contents
6.1 The equipment will be supplied in full working order.
6.2 The hirer is responsible for monitoring temperatures.
6.3 Cool 2 Freeze accepts no liability for or damage to contents stored in the trailer.
6.4 Temperature settings are not to be adjusted whilst on hire.
7. Breakdown and Faults
7.1 Any faults must be reported immediately.
7.2 Cool 2 Freeze will aim to repair or replace the uint as soon as reasonably possible.
7.3 No refunds will be given for issues caused by power failure, misuse, or external factors.
8. Insurance and Liability
8.1 The Hirer is responsible for ensuring appropriate insurance for contents in trailer while on hire.
8.2 Cool 2 Freeze is not liable for injury, loss, or damage resulting from misuse.
8.3 Liability is limited to the total hire cost unless otherwise required by law.
9. Cancellation Policy
9.1 Deposits are non-refundable within 48 hours of the hire date.
9.2 Cancellations made earlier may be rescheduled subject to availability.
10. Power Requirements
10.1 A standard 13 amp power supply is required (16 amp generator).
10.2 Cool 2 Freeze is not responsible for issues caused by inadequate or unstable power supply.
10.3 A maximum of 20 meters cable run only to be used as this will result in unit damage.
11. Termination of Hire
11.1 Cool 2 Freeze reserves the right to terminate the hire if these terms are breached.
11.2 No refund will be issued in such cases.
12. Agreement
By hiring the equipment, the hirer agrees to these Terms and Conditions in full.
